Social Media & Marketing
Visual Communication
During my time dancing in Arizona I met and got to know a very talented photographer named Eva Nys. She runs successful social media accounts with over 1.5 million followers. When I was 18 I started working for her as a video editor. During my time with her I have generated 80 videos reaching up to 8 million views each. Here is a collection of some of my favorite work I filmed and edited.
In university my final projects have all been project based, which will also be showcased on this page. In these projects I learned to combine visual, written, and oral communication.

These videos are where I came up with the idea, filmed, and edited. YouTube videos take time to create, this used in-platform editing and platforms like CapCut. Part of the job is also tracking the data analytics through YouTube. These 3 videos have 2.3 million views combined.
YouTube also specifically taught me how to use editing tools like Canva and Adobe Photoshop. This is specific to YouTube because it includes thumbnails, which is a key part of enticing the audience to watch the video.
Once we saw how well the "I Put Microphones on Ballet Dancers" video performed we knew we had come up with a format of video that keeps our target audience engaged.

I PUT MICROPHONES ON BALLET DANCERS

TikTok - @evanysphotography

The main platform Eva uses for video content is TikTok, she has 1.5 million followers on it alone. Short-form is her best performing content, this includes all types of videos. She films the dancers at Master Ballet Academy taking class, teaching her ballet steps, and photoshoots. Through this she taught me how to edit videos in an entertaining way in order to keep the viewer engaged.
Once we knew how well putting a microphone on dancers does we continued with this format. The video below is one of the ballet teachers having a microphone, this video has 9.4 million views.
She uses the dancers at Master Ballet Academy to teach her ballet steps as a new adult ballet dancer. These students have followings themselves, this video in specific contains Melanie McIntire and has 6.6 million views.
Eva is most known for her photography skills. She likes to show the behind the scenes of photoshoots and how entertaining they can be. She’s developed her whole brand around the “characters” she photographs, and it’s my job to showcase their personalities.
Social Media Campaign Proposal
This was a university assignment but it included a real client, My Mental Health Recovery. This was a collaborative effort amongst classmates, where I took the lead on the project. This entailed speaking with the CEO, doing background research on the company, developing an organized system of a detailed content strategy. My portion of the project was the content timeline, speaking with the client, creating a data analytics plan, and social media posts about depression.
In a team setting communication is important, we used Teams to meet up and had a collaborative Google Doc where we could all work simultaneously and write notes to each other. This assignment taught me a lot about how to work with others and get things done.
Eleve Final Project
A PowerPoint presentation of all the researched I gathered around the leotard company, Eleve. Public speaking is an integral part of being on a marketing team, this is a demonstration of oral communication. I wanted to come up with new ideas while keeping in mind the company brand.
In this project I used PowerPoint, Canva, and created a SWOT analysis. In order to view this project in it's entirety please put it into presentation mode and it will automatically start with voiceover and a timed slideshow.
